Background of the debate:

The automotive industry is the sector investing the most in Europe in innovation and responding with new technology to climate challenges. It is the technological and climate trends that will create challenges for Poland until 2035.

The European Commission has announced that by 2050 Europe will become the first climate-neutral continent. On February 13, 2023, the European Parliament approved new CO2 reduction targets for new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles as a part of the "Fit for 55" package.

Contributions from all sectors of the economy will be needed to achieve the Commission's intended objectives. Enormous changes must take place above all in the area of transport. Transport is the only sector where greenhouse gas emissions are increasing. The participants will discuss the activities of the automotive and energy markets in this area and will also indicate the new regulations directly related to the end of sales of combustion cars in the European Union by 2035.
